The
RCPEH microbiology laboratory has over 15 years experience in water
quality analysis. It prides itself on the quality of its service and
customer care. Fast sample turnaround ensures results are reported
without delay, allowing customers to make informed decisions and
implement effective measures if necessary.
The laboratory is accredited by UKAS to ISO standard 17025:2005 and participates in the Health Protection Agency's External
Quality Assurance schemes for the isolation, enumeration and identification of Legionella bacteria and standard indicator
organisms.
Providing consultancy services to the water and sanitation sector has
been a core activity of the RCPEH for over 20 years. This section
provides examples of our recent work.
Consultancy
services are an important part of our work since they allow us to offer
our customers and their clients effective solutions based upon
knowledge gained from our research activities, as well as ensuring that
our research work maintains a focus upon practical outputs.
